THE NEXT KITCHEN TABLE IS ON SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 30TH AT NOON
God calls us to feed his sheep, and The Kitchen Table is one way for us to do this.
The leadership of this ministry felt God calling them to feed God’s sheep through a free meal. As we have moved forward, the ministry has grown in ways that we could not have imagined.
This ministry started over two years ago in recognition that Michigan has been changing their public service programs, leaving even more people hungry. We acknowledge that many children and youth go hungry every day in Michigan and in Midland county specifically.
Our belief and guiding principle for The Kitchen Table, is that good things happen around any kitchen table: good fellowship, good feasting, and good connecting with others.
The last Saturday of every month, we prepare a nutritious meal to offer to anyone throughout the community of Coleman and beyond. The meal begins at noon and continues through 2:00 p.m. As this ministry has matured, we have realized that we are not to define need. Many come because of economic need, but many also come for the fellowship of others.
If you would like to help with this ministry, the elements of preparing, serving, and cleaning up any meal are the areas in which you could be of service.
